Statue of Sully, Former President George H.W. Bush's beloved service dog

The life-size statue of Sully, expertly crafted by Susan Bahary, serves as a touching tribute to the loyalty and companionship shared between the late President George H. W. Bush and his beloved service dog, housed at the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas. The background is textured with shades of blue and grey, while the floor has a bold red hue, providing contrast to the subject.

Working In Progress: The Day The Wall Came Down

Working In Progress: The painting "The Day The Wall Came Down" is currently being created for the gift bags project by The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Although progress is being made on the horse statues, there is still much work to be done on the campus buildings and the collapsed Berlin Wall.

Visiting Texas A&M Innovation

This morning, my husband and I visited Texas A&M Innovation where we had the opportunity to meet with the director and the art committee. During our meeting, we discussed various options for artwork that could enhance the office space within the Century Square development where the office building is situated. I'm pleased to have had the chance to share some ideas with them.

The Art of Texas State Parks

From the rugged mesas of the Panhandle and the steep-sided mountains of Big Bend Country to the waterways of the Gulf Coast and rolling grasslands of the prairies, visitors will journey through the diverse ecological regions of Texas as interpreted by individual artists. In celebration of 100 years, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department commissioned 30 Texas artists to depict scenes from parks, natural areas and historic sites in the state park system. The selections on view are as varied as the parks themselves and offer a snapshot of Texas' rich history and ecosystems. This exhibition represents the seventh installation in the Texas Art Project (https://uart.tamu.edu/texasartproject/) series.Organized by The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and Stark Galleries. Additional support provided by Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and H-E-B.This exhibition includes work from artists such as Randy Bacon, Mary Baxter, David Caton, Charles Criner, Margie Crisp, Ric Dentinger, Fidencio Duran, Janet Eager Krueger, Joel R. Featured artist at The Frame Gallery Downtown

I am the featured artist at The Frame Gallery Downtown for the month of March. My paintings will be showcased on the main wall until the end of March, after which they will be displayed at the Saint Andrew's Parish Hall throughout April. If you're in downtown Bryan, don't miss the chance to visit The Frame Gallery and see my work. Additionally, extra prints will be available for purchase during March.

A Collection of Perspectives

I'm currently displaying six large artworks, one of which is my own tree canopy painting, alongside pieces by other talented artists from the Professional Artists of Central Texas group. We've selected a venue known for its focus on large paintings, making it ideal for showcasing the sizable creations of PACT artists. I believe this collection will provide a wonderful display of outstanding art.

Note Cards for the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum

The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, located at Texas A&M University, is a part of the Presidential Libraries system managed by the National Archives and Records Administration.

As part of their outreach efforts, the library donates gift bags to Aggie Mom clubs and other nonprofit organizations for silent auction fundraisers. They aim for these gift bags to be meaningful and locally sourced, and they are interested in including my note cards.

Currently, I only have note cards featuring the Barbara Bush Rose Garden, but I will be collaborating with the library to create more images. My husband and I recently met with the director of marketing and communications to discuss the specifics. It was nice to have free tickets for the museum tour.

The Village Farewell Pary

I attended the Village Farewell party and had the pleasure of reconnecting with familiar faces from the past. In 2013, I held my solo show at the Village. During that period, my artistic hub was centered around Downtown Bryan, The Frame Gallery, SEAD Gallery, The Village, and Gifts and Gab. While the village itself may have faded away, the memories from that time will persist.

Art of Texas State Parks - Honoring Texas State Parks Through a Contemporary Lens

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of attending a VIP and Member's opening reception at the Panhandle-Plains Historic Museum for the "Art of the Texas Parks" exhibition. This exhibition showcases the artistic talents of over 30 of Texas' most celebrated contemporary artists and serves as a tribute to the Centennial Celebration of Texas State Parks. Guest speakers included Dr. Andrew Hay, executive director of cultural foundation of the Texas Panhandle.

I was thrilled to see two of my artworks, "Lake Raven in Spring, Huntsville State Park" and "View Beyond Dogwood, Mission Tejas State Park," displayed in this remarkable exhibition. It was a wonderful opportunity to engage in conversations with fellow Centennial painters and take part in a book signing event.

The Art of Texas Park is currently exhibited at the Hamill Gallery, Houston Museum of Natural Science, where the nice setting of display and lighting enhances the beauty of the arts.
