Art of Texas State Parks - Honoring Texas State Parks Through a Contemporary Lens

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of attending a VIP and Member's opening reception at the Panhandle-Plains Historic Museum for the "Art of the Texas Parks" exhibition. This exhibition showcases the artistic talents of over 30 of Texas' most celebrated contemporary artists and serves as a tribute to the Centennial Celebration of Texas State Parks. Guest speakers included Dr. Andrew Hay, executive director of cultural foundation of the Texas Panhandle.

I was thrilled to see two of my artworks, "Lake Raven in Spring, Huntsville State Park" and "View Beyond Dogwood, Mission Tejas State Park," displayed in this remarkable exhibition. It was a wonderful opportunity to engage in conversations with fellow Centennial painters and take part in a book signing event.
