A woman standing next to one of College Station's original population signs, created from a black and white photo into a colorful watercolor painting. Shown is an adult in the late 1940s, former “campus kid”. Campus kids were children of university faculty and staff, schooled and raised on campus. As of September 2015, College Station's population is 103562 and Texas A&M is the largest university in Texas with a student population exceeding 58500. In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the City of College Station in 2013, this painting was exhibited at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
