An abstract watercolor batik painting with disarray of colors and red drops. I finished this painting in the beginning of 2021 after a year of turmoil, contemplating a new year with hope that life will return to normal. Colors look disarray at first yet look cheerful. Color of 2020, blue on side with disarray elements transits to Color of 2021, illuminating yellow and gray, which expresses a message of positivity, resilience, and hope.

It is executed on rice paper which is mounted on gallery wrapped canvas and varnished. Black and white layered rice paper are attached to the sides of the canvas and finished with black acrylic to give a clean and unique look. The back of the canvas is signed, hooked, and wired ready to hang, giving an all round professional finish.
